ThePlace Café, Bistro, Function Room, Meeting Rooms and Art Gallery opened in 2008 and have since established a fantastic reputation in its locality of Sunniside, Sunniside Gardens and East End of Sunderland Centre. Surrounded by stunning Victorian architecture, The Place Café is housed within a state of the art, award winning multi-purpose, glass-fronted building / business centre with excellent links to business, art and culture.

ThePlace café offers excellent quality mouth-watering food and drinks at reasonable prices at the same time as catering for meetings, functions, weddings, birthdays, christenings, parties, anniversaries, business gatherings, leaving parties and outside catering.

We will open evenings and weekends for any pre-booked private parties
We are closed on bank holiday Mondays and Good Friday.
